The Nethersole School of Nursing was established under the Faculty of Medicine at CUHK in 1991. The School is internationally recognised for its high quality undergraduate and postgraduate education in nursing and gerontology, innovative research and clinical practice. Through maintaining strong connections with mainland and overseas universities, undertaking collaborative projects with community and healthcare partners, and organising international conferences and symposiums, the School contributes significantly to the promotion of global health and the development of the nursing and aged care professions.
According to QS World University Rankings 2019 – Nursing, the School ranks No. 1 in Hong Kong, No. 2 in Asia, and No. 26 in the world.
Cochrane Hong Kong at the School is an Affiliate supporting the mission of Cochrane and promoting Cochrane and its work in Hong Kong, mainland China, and the Asian region. Cochrane Hong Kong supports members in their engagement with Cochrane and builds links with particular regional and national bodies in mainland China and Asian regions for more targeted dissemination of Cochrane Reviews.
